Debate: Guns

Romney's response to a question about his record elicited an unforced error:

I support the Second Amendment, but I support the assault weapons ban.

You say you support the Second Amendment, but you clearly don't understand it, Governor. And you've lost the vote of gunowners everywhere.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.

He doesn't understand abortion either. Or illegal immigration. Or limited government. Or intellectual honesty. A decisive debate.

As a mother, I want the safety provided by the
Republican party. I have always been a Republican and I have never voted for anything other than a Republican candidate. I am personally relieved that some Republicans like Mr. Romney are willing to speak out against assault weapons.

I see no reason why anyone should own such a horrible weapon of destruction. At some point, common sense has to take over and supplant the macho gun culture that too many men promulgate. There has to be a reasonable line in the sand. I like where Romney draws it. After all, we wouldn't let a person own a tank or a canon would we?

It also dawned on me that Romney is very handsome. :)

No, you sure wouldn't want to let a person own a tank.

Limiting a guy to just one is cruel.
