Our pets bring us joy and remind us of our own mortality. A good pet does both jobs supremely well.
We Christians don't believe pets have souls, but it is hard for me to comprehend heaven without Patches, Starbuck, and Mars.

Just returned from a trip and found the sad news about Squiggy. The illness and loss of a treasured family member is so difficult to bear, I know. I'm very sorry.
