Carole King

Carole King is the talented singer-songwriter responsible for a number of monster hits, including "You've Got A Friend":

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am,
I'll come running
To see you again.

Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall,
All you got to do is call,
And I'll be there (yes I will),
You've got a friend.

King has a lovely voice -- her album "Tapestry" is a constant source of aural pleasure -- so I was pleasantly surprised to find an interview with her on XM radio this afternoon.

Not only did I learn that she's a New Age-y space cadet, deeply taken with the inane cliches of some swami type, but she also has a speaking voice that is just like that of the Long Island Jewish-American princess that Mike Meyers used to play in drag on SNL!

Oy vey!

And such a liberal moonbat, too.

That's what I get for listening to Allan Colmes.

Ordinarily I would not admit to reading Vanity Fair because of its unashamed left-wing bias. But a recent issue did an article on King, which it obviously meant as an adoration piece, but which actually showed her as . . . yes, a moonbat with a weakness for loony ideas and bad men. Great singer, weak thinker.

Good description of her speaking voice. I know exactly how she sounds. I suspected she was a liberal.
