This is how the West dies
I linked to this video in this morning's post about Mark Steyn, but you really need to see it for yourself. It made my blood boil.
I can't decide who makes me more furious: the Muslims who chase the police, yelling, "Allahu Akhbar!" and "Run, you f#*king cowards!", or the police, who allow the mob to hurl traffic cones at them and don't even stop their headlong flight to administer a well-deserved beating to these thugs.
The streets of London bear witness to Britain's shame. There is a war being fought on the streets of Western cities; this video is proof that England has already lost.

mmmmyeahhhhh, but....
seeing the bobbies run away like little bitches from the peaceloving islamists IS a troubling sight, to be sure. full of grim portents for blighty; free speech; civilization; etc etc.
but.
had this happened in these here united police states of america, can there be any doubt that the cops would have opened fire on the unarmed citizens excercising their rights of assembly and demonstration? after reading this last year's endless litany of cops playing ninja killing kids, and dogs, and grannies; and teenagers lying unarmed on the ground in a SF BART station .... i have no doubt there'd have been a massacre. "the officers on the scene were afraid, so rather than retreat, they opened fire on the crowd and killed 14 people".
i think i'd rather see them running away.

Police State? What flipping planet are you from? Your mindless ramblings are further proof that liberals are deranged. The US lets murderers and rapist go free on technicalities, while the victim gets no redress.
As for the video, what do you expect from cops that have had all their authority and tools taken away? They're trained to run away.

hey sonar"man", do you not get out much? not much of a reader, either? google (that means "look up") the names oscar grant; and tamika wilson; and robbie tolan; and kathryn johnston.
those are just a *very few* of the people who our brave security forces shot and mostly killed while they were unarmed. there are of course many many more, but those are just the most notorious and recent ones. grant was shot in the back, while lying on the ground. so was tolan. johnston was a 92-year-old grandmaw. when the brave security forces got done gunning her down in her own home, they bravely planted drugs on her to make them look a little better.
the atlanta DA just set free one of the cops who shot her. on a technicality. but naaah, you're right: that doesn't make this a police state. does it?
since you took a slobbering, wild-eyed guess at my politics, (wrongly, BTW. "liberal"? me? i'm to the right of attila the hun, sonny. i just have this crazy notion that cops are mere civilains too, and not above the law they claim to enforce.), i thought i'd return the favor. i note that you're one of those tough-writing internet macho men: you must be a cop-jock sniffer, am i right? driving around in a crown vic; using the words "perp" and "tactical" a lot?
keep respecting the "authority" of the security forces, good buddy! what could possibly go wrong?
